If You Are a New Volunteer to CV Softball Association or Need to update your clearance forms:
All volunteers must submit proof of the following three (3) clearances to be approved:
- PA State Police Criminal History Check- complete online by going to the "Online Request" section and clicking the link for PATCH, a response is normally received within days; AND
- PA Department of Human Services Certification - completed online by going to the "Online Submission" section and clicking the link for CWIS, you must "Create Individual Account" and then "Create Clearance Application", the response can take up to a week. More detailed instructions HERE; AND
- FBI Clearance (for those individuals who have not lived in Pennsylvania for 10 consecutive years) Register online but must go to a local approved vendor to be fingerprinted. USE CODE - 1KG6ZJ for Volunteer when registering; OR
- Keep Kids Safe Certification (for those individuals who have lived in PA for the past 10 years) Sign, scan and either upload it into the system or email to volunteer clearance email: [email protected]
Please note that anyone wishing to volunteer with CV Softball Association MUST submit the certifications from #1 and #2, as well as #3 OR #4, whichever applies. There will always be 3 documents required to be submitted prior to being approved to volunteer with the league. Please make sure to check back for your results after submitting all of the clearance applications. Once you receive all of your clearances make sure to send them to [email protected]
Additional Requirement for Little League Volunteers (Up to age 12)
In addition to CV Softball's Background Compliance, Little League's Child Protection Program requires completion of an application and submission of a photo ID (upon initially volunteering - through the completion of the volunteer registration within your account) as well as an annual background check. CV Softball uses an integrated process with JDP to complete the required compliance. We will contact you regarding any additional needs for this process prior to being approved as a volunteer.
Reminder for ALL CV Softball Volunteers:
Anyone interested in volunteering in any capacity are required to sign up through their CV Softball account for a specific volunteer role each season.
Then, once you have signed up for a volunteer role, please follow the background clearance approval process outlined under the volunteer tab for NEW or RETURNING volunteers.
ALL volunteers must complete a portion of the background clearance approval process each year to be in compliance and able to help! Be sure to get this completed in a timely manner!
