CV Softball is offering an instructional T-Ball program for players ages 6 and under this fall. The program will consist of 2 activities a week (Saturday mornings and one week night TBD) for approximately 6 weeks .

Unlike our spring T-ball program, players will not be assigned to a specific team in the fall. Instead, players will practice together as a group in more of an instructional clinic type setting to be conducted by experienced CV Softball coaches with the help of older softball players. The focus will be on drills that improve a player's throwing and catching. Drills on defensive player positioning, base running and hitting will also be covered. In addition to practices/clinics, players will also be divided up into teams each week to play in actual t-ball games. Teams will be determined on the day of the activity based on the players in attendance on that particular day. This program is being offered at a low cost as a way to introduce young players to the game of softball and to give them an opportunity to try it without committing to the cost of a full season. Our primary goal is to provide a fun and exciting experience for the players.

The 8u division is for girls 7 or 8 years old as of August 31, 2024.

Practices will begin on or around August 12 and games will begin at the start of the school year. Practices will be scheduled 1-2x's per week. The majority of games will be played on Sundays in the afternoon. Saturday games may be schedule as necessary. Teams will play in the West Shore Minors (WSM) League. Games will be played both at Home and Away.

Player Pitching and the Catcher position will be introduced at the 8U level. Coach pitch will still be heavily utilized. Girls will have the opportunity to play all position during games throughout the season. Practices will continue to focus on fundamentals of the game such as hitting, fielding, and base running, as well as proper throwing and catching mechanics. Practices will also begin to concentrate on basic situational defense (such as the concepts of force-outs, when to throw to a base vs. run to a base for an out, etc.). 

Cost is $70 per player.
