About CV Softball

The Cumberland Valley Softball Association (CV Softball), is a recreational youth softball league located in Hampden, Silver Spring, Monroe and Middlesex Townships. Our girls play in slow pitch in the West Shore Slow Pitch League (ages 8 to 18), fast pitch in the West Shore Minors Softball Association (ages 8 to 14) and our instructional league for ages 5 and 6.

CV Softball has been in existence since 1974 and we celebrate our 40th anniversary this year!. Over the years CV Softball has grown into one of the largest softball organizations in the Central Pennsylvania area. Thousands of girls have benefited from this program. Our leagues teach the girls how to play a great game, let them experience what it’s like to be part of a team and most importantly, provide an atmosphere where everyone has fun.

The slow pitch program is affiliated with the West Shore Slow Pitch league, where our 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U and 18U teams play against teams from Red Land, Duncannon, Dillsburg, Camp Hill and Cedar Cliff among others.

The fast pitch programs, in affiliation with the West Shore Minors Softball Association, offer girls the opportunity to learn the game as it’s played at the scholastic level. The West Shore Minors includes teams from Mechanicsburg, South Middleton Township, Cedar Cliff, East Pennsboro, Carlisle, Big Springs and Red Land.

This year over 290 girls will play in the CV Softball program. An organization such as this is only possible with the invaluable support of parents and friends involved in the program. There are more than 100 adults who volunteer their time as Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Board Members, team parents, concession stand volunteers and committee members. There are many opportunities for you to help CV Softball. Please consider donating a few hours of your time each month to ensure that our daughters continue to have the opportunity to play in a first class league.
